Handbooks

We, at metacept, consider knowledge dissemination as our primary purpose. In view of the same, we prepare some useful and handy dossiers on contemporary topics.

The following dossiers have been prepared diligently by our interns/researchers and edited by our editorial team. They are being made available below, for academic use of students, lawyers, researchers, and academicians.

‘Aftermath of the Corona Crisis: COVID-19 and Contracts’

COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains and market ecosystem globally. Looking at the current situation from a legal point of view, one can contemplate that a very crucial issue that stands at the doors of the courts is the non-performance or the non-fulfilment of the contractual obligations by business houses, which is going to attract humongous cases. Thus, it becomes necessary to understand what a Force Majeure clause is and whether COVID-19 is a Force Majeure event or not, to figure out how we are going to deal with such cases, and what would be our step forward.

Metacept® | InfoTech and IP Laws have prepared a ready to use handbook titled ‘Aftermath of the Corona Crisis: COVID-19 and Contracts’. The handbook is the result of sincere efforts put in by our interns Aanchal Sharan, Anushka Asthana, Mehak Mehra, and our editorial team of Gyan Tripathi, Nikhil Naren and Shivansh Tiwari.

‘Patents and Pandemic’

Imagine a world in which a global network of medical professionals monitored for emerging strains of a contagious virus, periodically updated an established formula for vaccinating against it, and then made that information available to companies and countries around the world. Moreover, imagine if this work were done without any intellectual-property (IP) considerations, and without pharmaceutical monopolies exploiting a desperate public to maximize their profits.
