Berne Copyright Convention

The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, usually known as the Berne Convention is an international treaty extending copyright protection in member countries to nationals of other member countries. It was signed at Berne, Switzerland, on September 9, 1886, and all acts, protocols, and revisions thereto. India is a signatory to this treaty.
